Alois Lageder Versalto Pinot Bianco DOC Alto Adige – Biodynamic White Wine

Versalto is Alois Lageder's pure Pinot Blanc, biodynamically certified and produced in the Alto Adige DOC area. The grapes come from vineyards at an altitude of about 500 m, cultivated on stony, sandy, and calcareous soils. After manual harvesting, fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, followed by nine months of aging on fine lees to preserve freshness and minerality.

The wine has a straw yellow color and a bouquet of peach, pear, white flowers, and a hint of slate. On the palate, it is fresh, mineral, and savory, with a slight spice and good persistence. It is served at 12‑14 °C, packaged in 0.75 L bottles, with an alcohol content of 12 % vol. Its balance allows for an aging potential of over five years.
